I've been waiting to write a new blog until I took some pictures but one of two things has happened: 1-My camera died and 2-I'm just too excited to hold it in anymore!...We bought a house!!! Well, kind of. We have a contract and have been pre-qualified for a loan. We wont close until May 6th but everything is working out very well. It is a townhome in Provo, in the PERfect location. It is three stories and about 2,000 square feet. The basement is unfinished but that's alright since it's just the two of us and it will be great for storage. The main floor has a formal living room, kitchen, dining area, half bathroom, and a family room. Upstairs has a master bedroom with a walk in closet and it's own bathroom. Then there are two other bedrooms, another bathroom, and the laundry room. It is newly constructed so we get to pick out colors and flooring and such. We are so incredibly excited to have a place of our own! I'll try and post pictures as it develops!

Last Six Months

I think I have lost the magic of blogging; sad, but true. I forget that we have this until I notice someones blog and that reminds me that we have one as well. Then I feel bad for about thirty seconds but then realize that I can count on one hand our followers so it's not a big deal. Kyle and I did very well this past semester. Kyle received a 3.8 GPA and I wasn't too far behind with a 3.7 GPA. Kyle has officially completed his generals and we estimate that he'll receive his Bachelor's Degree by the end of the Fall 2010 semester. As for me, well, I'm going to school so that's saying something.
Hmmm, what else is new...Not that this is something to announce but I am officially fourteen(years) again. Confused? Well I decided to get braces again and since I already look like I'm not a day older than seventeen, the braces make me look much younger. I'm re-living my jr. high years. At least my hair looks better now than it did then.
My cousin Niki got married in September...We had a fabulous December holiday month...My family moved back from California...I realize more and more every day what a wonderful husband I have.
New years resolution: I will TRY and do better on here.

P.S. Picture(s) to come.

Pure Bliss

Saturday was a fun filled day. I started my day off relatively good, but as the day ended, I was in pure bliss. I started my fun for the day by going to my cousin Niki's bridal shower. At the same time, Kyle was at Payson lakes enjoying some hamburgers and getting some sun with the young men and young women of the ward.
After the bridal shower, I dashed on over to my other cousin's (Arianne) who was having her baby shower. Her little baby is such a gorgeous little thing!
Then I drove home as quickly as I could so that we could leave for the concert. As I pulled into the driveway, there was no Honda. I was able to go in and relax for ten minutes until Kyle got home. As soon as he walked in the door, we grabbed all our things and headed back onto the open road.
When we got to the USANA Amphitheater, we had a lady ask if we wanted to upgrade our tickets. Kyle asked, "how much does it cost?" because we all know nothing is free these days. She said, "nothing". So we went from lawn seating, to sitting in the assigned seating.
We first saw a band named Meese, and then Jack's Mannequin. It was absolutely wonderful! Sometimes bands don't sound as great live, but Jack's Mannequin was awesome!
Then, The Fray came out. Now this, this was special. Have you ever listened to an artist on the radio, and then you hear them live and they are so much better live than recorded? Well, that is The Fray. I told Kyle that I wish they could sing me to sleep every night. Their music is so amazing and moving. Not only were they spectacular, but I was able to be there with my wonderful husband.
So, my day began not too shabby, but by the end, it was pure bliss.

Joyous Days

Ok...WOW! So I'm the worst at this. Let's see, what is going on with us right now...Kyle is going to school for the summer. He finished his first block of classes with a 3.92 GPA. This second block he is taking US History and Geology and not enjoying the classes too much. Besides school, he is working hard at Clark's Tuxedos making the store better than it ever has been.
As for me, I'm still working full-time at Curecrete. Nothing new.
Since February, we went to California in March to see my family.
Memorial day weekend we went to Moab to jeep with his family. Grandma Clark let us borrow her jeep, and yes, we brought it back in one piece.
The third week of June, we went to Lake Powell with the Clark's. It was so much fun to get out there on the lake and get some sun for the summer. Well, maybe Kyle and I got TOO much sun. Kyle's shoulders were so sunburned, the swelled up a little and had blisters. My legs were so sunburned, they were almost a bright purple and my ankles and calves were swollen for a week. Oh, and my face swelled up so much, people said I looked like a different person. I felt like I had botox or implants or something.
For the 4th of July weekend, my family came to visit here in Utah. Kyle and I spent every minute possible with them. We had a big BBQ with my side of the family and played lots of Phase 10 with my grandparents.
Last Saturday, July 11th, Kyle and I went to a Clark reunion in Hooper, UT! Kim, Lisa, Melanie, Kyle, and I all went up together. We had some hamburgers, hot dogs, and dessert. We won a wet t-shirt contest, so that was fun, ha ha. After the reunion; Kim, Lisa, Kyle, and I went and played some golf. So this was my first time playing golf. I had been to the driving range a few times but this was my very first time on the course. Don't you hate when you swing and you don't even hit the ball? Well, that was my frustration the whole time. All in all, it was still fun.
The thing I'm so excited about right now is that this Saturday Kyle and I are going to go see The Fray and Jack's Mannequin at USANA Amphitheater! Kyle found out on the radio that they were coming and so he bought the tickets as part of an early birthday present. I was ecstatic when I saw the tickets! I'm getting all antsy just thinking about it!
Well, I'll try and be a better blogger for now on.
Peace and love.

Life after the honeymoon

So it's almost been two months since we've been married. Kyle started school with 13 credits, is on Student Council in...student life? Also, works on average 20 hours a week at Clark's Tuxedos (no relation). AND makes his wife happy. I'm just working full time at Curecrete Distribution, Inc. and hopefully going back to school in the fall. We are living in Payson right now in a basement apartment. The rent is cheap and our landlord is the best! Coinsedently, that landlord happens to be Kyle's grandma. :) We love our ward, Mountain View 9th ward. We live a couple blocks from the hospital so if anything is to happen to us, we're just right there! Hmmm, nothing really new. We are very, very, VERY happy and absolutely love married life!

Honeymoon

Well, Kyle kept it a secret for months on where we were going for our honeymoon. The first night we stayed at an inn in Salt Lake called Inn on the Hill. It was so...cozy and charming. Then, the next day we left for the airport. I still had no idea where we were headed off to. I probably wouldn't have known until we got to Atlanta where we were going, but the lady at the check in counter wanted to confirm the flights. So when she said, "Mr. Clark, I have two tickets from Salt Lake City to Atlanta, then from Atlanta to St. Thomas. Is that correct?" Kyle looked over at me and I just gave him a huge grin while he shrugged his shoulders. All I can say about the whole trip is PERFECT!

Wedding Day Frenzy

So let's just say we didn't start off our wedding day normal. Well, it appeared to be normal. I woke up all excited to get ready and to see my soon to be husband. Brittany, Kyle's little sister, helped me put on my make up and do my hair. My family and Kyle's family (minus Kyle and Michael) had stayed at the Marriott hotel that was just a block away from the Salt Lake temple, the night before the wedding. We decided to just drive over so my parent's, Kim (Kyle's dad), and I hopped into the suburban. My dad decided to hurry and drop us off before parking the car. I opened the back to grab my bag with my temple clothes, the marriage license, Kyle's ring and the bag with my dress. I pulled out my dress but the bag wasn't there any more. I looked frantically in the back seat, but nothing was there. My dad said he would run back to the hotel and grab them.
My mom and I went in to at least wait and see if Kyle was there. As I was checking in my dress, my mom came up to me and said that the bags were stolen. I asked how she knew that. My dad had called her and said that the girls never took the bags to the room and also the GPS system was missing. So, I stood there thinking "I'm not getting married today". Kyle held me as I tried to hold back the tears.
We went up to the check in counter and told the man what had happened. He said soothing words and reassured us that we were going to get married, that everything will work out. That made me feel much better. Kyle and I walked hand in hand inside where we were ushered to sit. A lady came out asking for our marriage license. I told her that it had been stolen. She then said "so you don't have a marriage license? Your marriage license was stolen?" I started getting a little upset again. For those who don't know, I had put Kyle's ring and the marriage license in the same bag as my temple clothes so everything would be together. She told us she would be right back. Then, that's when it hit me. I started crying on Kyle's shoulder and he just comforted me the whole time. He was so calm, I envied him.
The lady came back out and said that one of the clerks from Salt Lake county was going to meet us at the salt lake county building and she would issue us a new marriage license. So, Kyle and I headed out to the car. On our journey to the parking lot, we came accross a few confused family members. We then had to explain everything, and then skipped on our way to the car. It felt so unreal to be driving around together while everyone was waiting for us to get married.
Anyway, we got our license and got married at 10 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. We had a fantastic luncheon with a beautiful reception. Then, we headed off to our honeymoon...
